MILEWAY is developed and operated by Firefly Real Estate, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). This policy explains what data MILEWAY collects, how it is used, and your rights as a user. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not sell your data.
MILEWAY stores all trip and location data locally on your device. This data never leaves your phone and is never transmitted to our servers. It includes:
You are in full control of this data. You can delete individual trips, voice notes, and odometer entries at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data permanently.
MILEWAY uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
MILEWAY requests "Allow all the time" location permission on Android to track trips in the background while you drive. Location data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted to any external server by MILEWAY. Location access is used solely for mileage tracking purposes.
MILEWAY may send local notifications to alert you about tracking status, trip saves, idle reminders, and odometer reminders. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve any external messaging service.
Trip records are retained on your device for up to 5 years from the trip date, in accordance with standard tax audit period guidelines. GPS location logs are retained for 7–30 days depending on your settings. You may delete any data manually at any time.
MILEWAY is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
